Roy Nissany joins Team Trident for 2020 FIA Formula 2 Championship
The 25-year-old from Tel Aviv, who is the test driver of Team Williams, will represent the Italian squad in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, starting on March 21st and 22nd at Sakhir in Bahrain.
Team Trident will line-up in the 2020 FIA Formula 2 Championship with 25-year-old Israeli driver Roy Nissany. Born in Tel Aviv, Nissany will be back racing full-time after a break that lasted for almost 12 months. He went back into action with Team Trident last December at Yas Marina, running for two and a half days in the FIA Formula 2 Championship post-season test
With his skills, Nissany left a strong impression on the technical staff of the Milan-based operation, which is now set to rely on his potential. On the track located close to Abu Dhabi, Nissany also entered a 2-day test with the Williams FW 42. For 2020, he will serve as a test-driver for the legendary F1 team.
Nissany has a remarkable resume with quality participation in many motorsports’ championships. He previously raced in the ADAC Formula Master, Formula 3 and World Series Renault 3.5 championships, and in the latter, he got the most representative results with a fourth place in 2016 and a fifth place in 2017. In 2018, he made the move to the FIA Formula 2 Championship, securing his maiden points finish in the championship. By partnering Team Trident, he now looks forward to continuing in his path towards Formula 1.
