In the second race held at the historic Hungarian track, the Team Trident drivers did not make it to the top ten. Giuliano Alesi took the 12th position after a solid drive, while Ralph Boschung suffered tire degradation.

In the Sprint Race held today at Hungaroring to complete the eighth round of the FIA Formula 2 Championship, the Team Trident drivers could note enter the points zone. Giuliano Alesi, who started from the seventh row of the grid, experienced a solid race that saw him cross the finish line in 12th place. The Frenchman engaged in some vibrant mid-pack battles, in which he impressed with some convincing overtaking. The return to the FIA Formula 2 Championship of Ralph Boschung ended with an 18th position. The 21-year-old Swissman, who started from the 18th position on the grid after an engine failure in the Feature Race, defended himself well in the opening stages. Boschung then had to slow down in the final laps due to significant thermal degradation on the rear tires. Now the series will take a three-week break. The FIA Formula 2 Championship will be back on stage the last weekend of August at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps track.

Giacomo Ricci, Team Manager

"Once again we were unable to enter the points zone. Alesi delivered a good race and ended up in 12th place on a track where it is very difficult to overtake. Boschung's pace, on the other hand, fell off in the closing stages due to degradation issues on the rear tires. Now we have three weeks of break ahead of the challenging trip to Spa-Francorchamps.”
