Dorian Boccolacci back to the FIA Formula 2 Championship with Team Trident
The Cannes-based driver, who was a protagonist in the GP3 Series wearing the Team Trident colours, will be back this weekend at Silverstone.
Some stories never end. There will be a great comeback for Team Trident next weekend at Silverstone, with 20-year-old Frenchman Dorian Boccolacci getting back behind the wheel for the Italian squad in the eighth round of the FIA Formula 2 Championship at the Northamptonshire venue, which will be hosting the Grand Prix of Great Britain.
Boccolacci left take victory in the final race of Yas Marina. In total, he scored three podium finishes and 93 points, which enabled him to climb up to the sixth place in the championship ranking. The Cannes-based driver will be joining Ferrari Driver Academy racer Giuliano Alesi, who already met his compatriot as a teammate in 2017. Boccolacci has a good amount of F2 experience having debuted in 2018 and scored 33 points. He will replace Swiss driver Ralph Boschung.
