Trident Motorsport is pleased to announce the driver who will complete its 2026 FIA Formula 2 Championship line-up. The Milan-based team, with its operational headquarters in Ossona, will field promising British driver John Bennett for the upcoming season. For the 22-year-old from Salisbury, it will be an exciting new challenge in the second tier after making his debut in 2024.

Bennett first approached the world of racing in 2020 by competing in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge. In 2022, the British driver moved into single-seaters, tackling the GB3 Championship. In his third season, he finished as vice-champion, taking three wins and an impressive eleven podiums.

In 2024, Bennett made his debut in the Formula Regional Middle East Championship before moving on to the European series. That same season also marked his first appearance in the final two rounds of the FIA Formula 2 Championship, where he scored his first points in the Lusail Feature Race. He returned to the series again this year, showing notable progress.
