Trident Motorsport welcomes Kean Nakamura-Berta for the 2027
Trident Motorsport is pleased to announce the agreement reached with Kean Nakamura-Berta, who will compete in the 2027 FIA Formula 3 Championship season with the Italian team.
The 18-year-old British driver, a member of the Williams F1 Team Academy, will join the category after a particularly impressive development process, marked by significant successes in both karting and single-seaters.
For Nakamura-Berta, 2027 will represent a new and significant step in his career, following a 2026 season that saw him compete in the Formula Regional Middle East Trophy and the Formula Regional European Championship.
Born in London on November 12, 2007, Nakamura-Berta began karting at the age of seven, quickly making a name for himself internationally. After winning the OK-Junior world title in 2021, the Englishman added the OK European title in 2022.
His Formula 4 debut came at the end of 2023, when Nakamura-Berta took part in the final two rounds of the F4 South East Asia championship, taking two pole positions and finishing sixth in the standings despite having competed in only six races. In 2024, he embarked on his first full single-seater season, finishing second in the UAE F4 championship with two wins and seven podiums overall.
2025 was his breakthrough year. Nakamura-Berta was crowned Italian Formula 4 Champion, winning nine races and and clinching a total of 17 podiums, in addition to the E4 Championship title, which he secured with four wins and eight podiums.
In 2026, the British driver made the leap to Formula Regional, winning the Formula Regional Middle East Trophy title and competing in the Formula Regional European Championship.
The move to Trident Motorsport will therefore represent the next chapter in a journey that has seen Nakamura-Berta assert himself in every category he has competed in. The experience gained over the past few seasons and the support of the Williams F1 Team Academy will accompany the young driver in his new challenge in the FIA Formula 3 Championship.
