Fornaroli completes Trident Motorsport’s 2022 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine lineup

Leonardo Fornaroli will be joining Trident Motorsport for the 2022 Formula Regional European by Alpine season. The 17-year-old racer completes the team's lineup for the upcoming series, as the Italian operation, led by Maurizio Salvadori, makes its debut in the ACI Sport and Alpine-promoted championship. Fornaroli is coming from two extremely competitive runs in the Italian Formula 4 Championship, where he ended up fifth overall in 2021 with one win, seven podiums, two pole positions, and three fastest laps to his credit. He was also the highest-placed Italian driver in the field. Fornaroli showed great chemistry with the Trident Motorsport staff in early testing, proving quick on track and extremely attentive to details.

Throughout our history, we always kept a close eye on our country's national racing environment, and Leonardo is without a doubt the best recent Italian prospect. We are delighted to have him in our Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine squad.
