Freca set for first Italian round of 2024
The Mugello Circuit is set for the first out of three Italian rounds of the 2024 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. The Tuscan track is joining Imola and Monza in a triple of Italian high-level venues for the competitive European series.
The Trident lineup will consist of the team's two rookies, Ruiqi Liu, fresh from his first top-10 of the season at Hungaroring, and Nicola Lacorte, who will try to return to the points zone at his home track after accomplishing the goal in the second race at Hockenheim.
Michael Belov will once again be driving the Italian squad's third car, having made a positive debut of the season in Hungary. The 22-year-old has been confirmed as a substitute for Roman Bilinski, who is continuing the rehabilitation effort in the best possible way after last month's back injury.
Bilinski, who has already had the opportunity to drive in the simulator, will support the team from the pit box at Mugello, waiting to put his suit and helmet back on.
