Melbourne, rain forced race management to cancel the Feature Race

Nothing to do. The rain that fell n on the semi-permanent circuit of Albert Park in Melbourne, forced the race direction to cancel the Feature Race of the first round of the season of the FIAFormula 2 Championship. The Australian weekend saw the Trident Motorsport drivers Sami Meguetounif and Max Esterson score no points in the only race held (Saturday’s Sprint Race) due to a difficult qualifying.
Despite several laps behind the safety car, the rain and wind that raged in the capital of the State of Victoria did not guarantee the minimum safety conditions. The race direction therefore showed the red flag, canceling Sunday's race. Now the three-week break will be useful to recharge batteries. The next event is scheduled for 11-13 April at the Sakhir track in Bahrain.
