Montmeló, the season is getting hot

Montmeló, the season is getting hot

Next weekend, the FIA Formula 2 Championship will complete its first back-to-back of the season. After the Monaco street circuit, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya at Montmeló will welcome the protagonists of the junior series. Trident Motorsport arrives at the Catalan track aiming for a competitive and convincing event.

After the Monaco weekend, where both drivers failed to move up the standings, it's time to get back to grinding out points and performing at an increasingly competitive level.

The Montmeló track, characterized by slow and fast corners interspersed with long straights, is often used in preseason testing and is a true test ground for cars.  Drivers and staff of Trident Motorsport will be able to fully capitalize on what they learned last February to have a decisive weekend.

The preparation work ahead of the Catalan round has been thorough and meticulous, as usual. Now it's time to judge on the track.

Giacomo Ricci, Team Manager, Trident Motorsport: "The Montmeló round is important, especially because, on a technical track that everyone knows very well, the form of the drivers can truly shine through. We've prepared with the utmost determination for the Catalan round, where we aim to have a competitive and convincing weekend. In the preseason tests last February, we worked well and gathered good data, but the track conditions next weekend will be very different."

The engines of the FIA Formula 2 Championship cars will start on Friday at 11:05 a.m., with the 45-minute free practice session. Qualifying is scheduled for the same day, starting at 3:55 p.m. The Sprint Race will take place on Saturday at 2:15 p.m. The Feature Race, which will conclude the weekend, will start on Sunday at 11:25 a.m. All track action will be broadcast live on Sky Sport F1.
