Monza, decision time after nine highly-spectacular events

The tenth and final round of the FIA Formula 3 Championship is set to go underway this weekend at Monza, and after nine highly-spectacular events, the series is set for one of the most anticipated finales in its history. Trident Motorsport’s Leonardo Fornaroli is lining up as the Driver Championship leader with a one-point advantage on his closest competitor, Gabriele Minì. The two Italians are not the only contenders, as there is an incredible seven-driver pack with a chance to contend for the 2024 title starting with British racer Luke Browning, who is six points away from the lead.

With a ninth and a third place he secured at Spa-Francorchamps, Fornaroli reclaimed the lead he had lost at Red Bull Ring, but with the series’ incredible competitive level, he will need absolute perfection at his home circuit. Every single detail and episode will need to be under control in order to make a difference again. Trident Motorsport is aiming to keep home the title achieved one year ago with Gabriel Bortoleto and will provide its driver with the best possible support to reach the highest achievement of his career.

Sami Meguetounif and Santiago Ramos will also have great chances to do well. Back in the previous Italian round of the series at Imola, they had respectively claimed the Feature Race win and the Pole Position. They showcased consistent improvement during the latest part of the year and are aiming for a high-level weekend.

Giacomo Ricci, Team Manager: “We are set for the epilogue of a hard-fought season, in which every result is possible and many drivers can contend for the title. It’s time to give our absolute best, make the difference and put all the year-long hard work made with our drivers to fruition. Fornaroli is leading the championship with only one point over his closest competitor. The team will provide him with the maximum possible support to help him follow in the footsteps of Gabriel Bortoleto and hand Trident Motorsport its second consecutive title. Meguetounif and Ramos are on an improving trend and have the potential needed to run a competitive weekend. We will give our 110 percent to reach our goal”.

The FIA Formula 3 Championship weekend will begin on Friday at 9:35 AM with a 45-minute practice session. Qualifying is set for the same day at 15:00, with the cars split into two groups. The Sprint Race will get underway on Saturday at 9:30 AM, while the Feature Race, which will wrap up the season, will start on Sunday at 8:35 AM.
