Popov joins Trident for the 2026 FREC season

Trident is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with 17-year-old Maximilian Popov for the 2026 FREC Championship. After growing competitively in karting, Maximilian made his single-seater debut in 2024, taking part in the Italian Formula 4 Championship — a series he also competed in this year, achieving excellent results, including five podium finishes that helped him secure sixth place in the overall standings. Now, Popov is ready to begin a new chapter in his career with Maurizio Salvadori's team. This will be his first time racing with a fully Italian team.
