Positive growth for Trident F4 drivers at Monza
The third round of the Italian Formula 4 championship at Monza, with 49 entries, proved extremely positive for the Trident team, demonstrating tangible progress in the results of its young drivers.
Only the unfortunate Lyuboslav Ruykov, involved in two off-track excursions while qualifying for the final, a target he missed, failed to score points. Bernardo Bernoldi managed to do so, finishing 13th and ninth in races 1 and 2, after a weekend of intense attack. Augustus Toniolo also performed well, finishing 14th and 12th in the first two races (in F4, the top 15 finishers earn points), as did Dominik Šimek, who finished ninth in the first race.
Florentin Hattemer set the fifth fastest time in qualifying, then finished 11th in race 2. After a strong performance, the Swiss took third place, and then a podium finish, in race three. Unfortunately, with the engines off, he received a 5-second penalty, which dropped him to tenth.
The Trident drivers are all single-seater rookies and come directly from karting. Monza highlighted one thing: the remarkable growth of the drivers and the entire team, which is tackling the extremely tough Italian F4 championship for the first time this year.
