Trident Motorsport is delighted to announce that French driver Sami Meguetounif will enter the 2024 FIA Formula 3 Championship season under the team's banner. The Marseille native, born in 2004, will be making his championship debut. In 2023, Meguetounif was among the main protagonists of the FRECA championship, with three podiums, two fastest laps and ninth place in the Driver Championship.

In the first months of 2023, Meguetounif took part in the Formula Regional Middle East championship, securing one win at Kuwait Motor Town. In 2022, he starred in his FRECA debut with a podium at Spa-Francorchamps. His debut in single-series came in French F4 and in the South East Asia Formula 4 Championship with three podiums at Sepang.

Meguetounif left a solid impression on the technical staff of Trident Motorsport since the first day of post-season testing at Jerez de la Frontera, quickly matching the team's work pace. Trident Motorsport is thus delighted to welcome him to the team and will provide him with the support needed to impress in one of the most competitive championships in motorsport.

Giacomo Ricci, Team Manager: “We are delighted to welcome a promising driver like Sami Meguetounif to our line-up. The Marseille-born driver achieved good results in the FRECA championship and impressed the team's technical staff in the collective 2024 preparation tests at Jerez, Barcelona and Imola. We are convinced that, by joining the Trident Motorsport family, Sami will find the right environment to make great steps within the motorsport ladder."

Sami Meguetounif, Driver: “I’m really really really happy to be joining Trident. We all know the good job the team did in these past seasons. I’m very excited to start this new challenge and to be driving during the same race weekends as the big boys of Formula 1. I will work hard this winter to arrive in Bahrain well-prepared. I have already started working with the team during the Post Season Tests and they already taught me so much to make my adaptation to this new category better and help me go faster. I would also like to thank my sponsors for their amazing support.”
