Sammalisto joins Trident for the 2026 FREC season

Luka Sammalisto is the first of three drivers that Trident will field in next year’s Formula Regional European Championship (FREC). The Italian team, led by Maurizio Salvadori, will rely on the 17-year-old Finnish driver, who gained solid experience in Italian F4. This year, he finished eighth overall in the standings, securing three podium finishes. For Trident, always focused on developing young talent in motorsport, Sammalisto represents the right profile to aim for strong results.
