Spa-Francorchamps, clear objectives on an iconic track

Next weekend, the FIA Formula 3 Championship reignites its engines at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit for the sixth round of the season. On the historic Belgian track, one of the most iconic and challenging on the calendar, Trident Motorsport aims to consolidate its position among the championship's key players after once again demonstrating a competitive package in the previous English round.

At Silverstone, the Milan-based team, with operations based in Ossona, monopolized the top spots. Freddie Slater took his first pole position in the category in front of his home crowd, while Matteo De Palo achieved his best qualifying result of the season. Furthermore, during the Feature Race, the 18-year-old from Rome performed at a very competitive level. Noah Strømsted, after his excellent success in Montmeló, returned from the United Kingdom with two fifth-place finishes. Ryan Slater and Noah Strømsted occupy second and fourth place, respectively, in the Drivers' standings.

Trident Motorsport arrives at Spa-Francorchamps confident it can consistently battle for the top positions and also put first place in the Teams' standings within its line of fire in an extremely competitive season.

Spa-Francorchamps also represents a historically favorable track for Trident Motorsport, which has achieved prestigious results over the years on the technical Ardennes track, where speed, precision, and weather management can make the difference.

Giacomo Ricci, Team Manager at Trident Motorsport: “We're restarting the championship on a track that represents a unique challenge for drivers and teams. At Silverstone, we demonstrated that we have a very competitive package, which we must always translate into concrete results. At this stage of the season, every detail takes on significant weight. The Ardennes track demands maximum responsiveness. The weather can quickly change the situation. Our goal is to be a leading player with all three drivers.”

The FIA Formula 3 Championship engines will rev up on Friday at 9:55 a.m., with the 45-minute free practice session. Qualifying also takes place on the same day, starting at 3:00 p.m. The Sprint Race will take place on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. The Feature Race, which will conclude the weekend, will start on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. All sessions will be broadcast live on Sky Sport.
