Trident and Popov confirm their podium finishes in the Middle East Regional

It was another positive weekend for the Trident team at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. In the second round of the season of the Middle East Regional series, Maurizio Salvadori's team secured another important podium with Maksimilian Popov, third in the second race. A week ago, the Trident rookie had finished third in the first race. A different setup was used on the UAE track to avoid repeating the same options taken in the previous weekend.

Eighth and twelfth in qualifying, Popov also finished seventh in race one, but in race three he was unlucky, having to retire on the first lap due to contact. Andrija Kostić narrowly missed out on the points, finishing eleventh in the final race. The Serbian driver finished in the top 10 in the first race (seventh), but was disqualified after the race for a minor technical irregularity found on his car, which had no impact on performance.

Kai Daryanani improved significantly, finishing twentieth in race 3, his best result of the weekend. The next race will be at the Dubai circuit on January 31st-February 1st.
