Trident announces brazilian Toniolo as the first driver for the F4 entry

On June 9th, Trident officially announced its entry into the Italian Formula 4 Championship and the E4 Championship 2026. Today, the team led by Maurizio Salvadori is proud to unveil the first driver selected for this new chapter: Augustus Toniolo.

The young Brazilian talent, who has already showcased his skills on the international karting scene, is now ready to take the next step in his career with his single-seater debut in one of the most competitive Formula 4 series.

Maurizio Salvadori: “I am delighted to welcome Augustus to our team. This agreement marks an important milestone for Trident, as he is the first driver with whom we have reached an agreement for our participation in both the Italian Formula 4 Championship and the E4 Championship — with more teammates soon to follow. Augustus brings a genuine curiosity and an infectious enthusiasm, and I am confident that together we will set the best possible tone as we embark on this exciting new chapter.”

Augustus Toniolo: “Joining the Italian Formula 4 Championship and the 2026 E4 Championship with Trident is a crucial step in my career. I’m proud to be the first driver selected by Salvadori’s team for this new challenge. I firmly believe Trident is the right environment to continue my development as a driver, given their proven record of success and tradition in nurturing young talents. I would like to thank FS Management for their constant support and trust, especially Augusto Farfus and Mauricio Slaviero, who have been key figures in my journey. A special thanks also goes to the Motorsport Performance Academy, whose professionalism and dedication have guided me through the transition from karting to Formula 4 and prepared me for this exciting opportunity.”
