Trident back into action for round 2 of Formula Regional by Alpine in Montmelò

Coming from a positive 2023 opener which featured the team’s first podium finish of the year, Trident is set to be back on track for round 2 of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

The Italian squad, led by Maurizio Salvadori, is fifth in the team championship after Imola, and already got the chance to test at the Spanish venue, showing positive potential in collective testing.

Rookie Nikhil Bohra will try to repeat the great results of Imola, where the Singapore-licensed driver finished race 2 in third place and secured a promising podium finish at his first run in the series. He is now fourth in the driver championship, only one point away from the third place.

The experienced Roman Bilinski and Owen Tangavelou are looking for revenge. The former was forced to retire twice at Imola, while the latter was pushed out of race 2 while running close to the podium positions.

Two free practice sessions are scheduled for Friday, May 20th to help drivers  regainconfidence with the Catalan track. Qualifying and race 1 will be held on Saturday, with the opening race of the weekend set for 18:05. The second and final race will be at 10:13 on Sunday.
