Trident claims seventh place in Macau with Strømsted
Trident wrapped up its 2025 Regional season by taking part in the Macau Grand Prix. For Maurizio Salvadori’s team, it was a return to the world’s most iconic street circuit: 6.118 unique metres of fast straights, narrow corners and thrilling sections between the barriers. The team lined up with three drivers: Noah Stromsted, who raced in FIA F3 this year with the team led by Luca Zerbini, Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, who also competed in Formula 3, and Reza Seewooruthun, coming from the British GB3 Championship.
Stromsted’s experience played an important role for Trident. Even though it was his first time in Macau, the Danish driver stayed inside the top 10 in both qualifying sessions, started the Qualification Race from P10, and finished the Main Race in P7. It was a solid result for the team. Inthraphuvasak ended the weekend in P16 (after qualifying P12 and finishing P13 in the Qualification Race), while Seewooruthun was unlucky and had to retire after starting from P22.
Reza Seewooruthun: “A really fun first weekend here in Macau, probably the best track I’ve ever driven. Of course, it wasn’t the result we were hoping for: an unfortunate crash in Qualifying 1 meant we had to start far back on the grid. But it’s all part of learning and gaining experience, so we can really take a lot from this weekend. Thanks to everyone at Trident, to the management, and to the sponsors. It’s been an amazing weekend and a huge learning experience”.
Noah Strømsted: “This was my first time in Macau, and it’s been a very nice experience. Today in the Main Race we finished P7. We lacked a bit of pace over the weekend, but by the end it finally felt like we had good speed, even if it’s not the easiest track to overtake, but overall it’s been a fantastic experience to come here and race on such an amazing track”.
Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak: “This was my first race in Macau. It’s been a great experience on one of the most iconic tracks in the world, which I really enjoyed. Being so close to every wall and pushing the car to the limit was one of the best feelings. We worked a lot with the team throughout the week to be in a good position to fight for the top spots, and I would say we fell a bit short and didn’t fully meet our expectations. But I think we learned a lot and gained valuable experience for the future. I want to thank everyone who supported me, those who gave me the opportunity to be here, and of course the team”.
