Trident ends up away from points

The FIA Formula 2 Championship wrapped up its sixth round of the season with the Feature Race today at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Unfortunately, Trident Motorsport did not secure points.
A tough qualifying session, with Richard Verschoor and Roman Staněk in P19 and P21 respectively, did not leave, in normal racing conditions, too many chances for the points zone for the Trident Motorsport drivers.
And so it was. Richard Verschoor started with the Prime tyres, before attacking in the final part of the race with the Options. The 23-three-year-old Dutch driver returned to the track after the pit stop in P13, showing a race pace that was often in line with the leaders. However, he was unable to get close to the top ten and stopped at the end.
It was a completely trouble-free race at the back for Roman Staněk, who did not find the form of the previous championship rounds. The FIA F2 calendar will feature no breaks, and the championship will be running at Red Bull Ring. The Trident Motorsport pairing will have the opportunity to make up for the tough Spanish weekend.
Giacomo Ricci, Team Manager, Feature Race Quote“Unfortunately, the challenging qualifying session with our two drivers at the back of the pack had a negative impact on the team's entire weekend. We knew that only strategy, combined with favorable race dynamics, would have allowed us to get back into the game for points, but that wasn't the case. Verschoor showed solid pace at times, while Staněk's racing was devoid of surprises at the back. Fortunately, we have the opportunity to recover in Spielberg next weekend. We are heading there determined to do well and improve our championship position."
