Trident heads to Imola to stay at the top

The Formula Regional European by Alpine championship is about to reach its halfway point. This weekend, the series will contest in the sixth of the ten rounds of the season, held at Imola. For the Trident team, this is a second "home race” after the season-opener in Misano.
Maurizio Salvadori's squad will reviving its fight for the overall Drivers' standings with Matteo De Palo. The Roman is second, 20 points behind Freddie Slater, and everything is still wide open. The same is true in the Teams' standings, where Trident is fifth and in contention for fourth place, just one point behind the team in front.
In the previous round at Le Castellet, Nandhavud Bhirombhakdi scored points again, for the third time this year, proving continued improvement in his performance. In Imola, the Thai is expected to put in another positive performance, and so is Ruiqi Liu, who has been unlucky on more than one occasion so far, but is ready to revert the tide and have a positive second half of the season.
