Trident heads to the Hungaroring in Budapest for the FREC

It will be a busy weekend on several fronts for Trident Motorsport. While Maurizio Salvadori's team will be competing in the Formula 2 and Formula 3 championships at Silverstone, as well as taking part in the opening round of the E4 Championship at Vallelunga, the team led by Luca Zerbini will be in action at the Hungaroring in Budapest for the fifth round of the FREC.

The season has reached its halfway point and, for Trident, it will be another opportunity to score valuable points while aiming to repeat the excellent results achieved at Spa, where Maksimilian Popov claimed the team's first victory of the 2026 season. Kai Daryanani will be looking to secure another top-ten finish after his strong performances at the Red Bull Ring, Spa and Monza, while Andrija Kostic will be aiming to break into the top ten for the first time this season.

The Hungarian event will get underway on Thursday, July 2, with two collective test sessions, followed by two free practice sessions on Friday. Qualifying 1 and Race 1 are scheduled for Saturday, while Qualifying 2 and Race 2 will take place on Sunday.
