Trident in Northamptonshire to improve ranking

The next round of the FIA Formula 2 Championship, scheduled on the historic Silverstone track, gives Trident Motorsport the opportunity to continue with greater momentum the good things shown in Austria. After having scored points in the Feature Race at the Red Bull Ring, Sami Meguetounif will try to repeat himself next weekend on the English track. Max Esterson will be hunting for his first points of the season.
Protagonist of a scary accident without consequences in the race on Saturday in Styria, in which the he vaulted and ended upside down, Meguetounif promptly managed to redeem himself in the following heat, conquering the points zone. Furthermore, the Frenchman already showed a good feeling with the Northamptonshire circuit last year, where he obtained his first points in the FIA Formula 3 Championship.
After coming close to the points in the Sprint Race, crossing the finish line in tenth place at the end of a consistent comeback, Max Esterson was unable to repeat himself in the longest race of Sunday. Despite having driven a consistent race, the twenty-two-year-old American finished fifteenth.
The Silverstone track, which is located on a former military airport used by the British Air Force, is very technical and challenging for the drivers. Furthermore, the wind and the extremely changeable weather conditions create additional variables that the drivers, together with the technical staff, will have to manage to try to maximize performance.
Giacomo Ricci, Team Manager: “Silverstone is an extremely technical and demanding track. As always, the gaps will be minimal and perfect preparation and execution will be needed to be able to have a competitive weekend. In Spielberg we achieved to score points in the Feature Race and our goal is to repeat and constantly improve”.
The engines of the FIA Formula 2 Championship single-seaters will start on Friday at 10:00, when the 45-minute free practice session is scheduled. Qualifying is scheduled for the same day, from 14:55. Saturday will be the turn of the Sprint Race, at 13:15. The Feature Race, which will conclude the weekend, will start on Sunday at 11:05.
