Trident in the points with all its three cars

The Feature Race that closed the sixth round of the FIA Formula 3 Championship, held on the Red Bull Ring, proved to be very heated but the finale did not reward the Trident Racing drivers. Starting from seventh on the grid, Rafael Câmara put together a series of overtaking moves, making his way up to the podium area. The Ferrari Driver Academy driver passed his teammate Noah Strømsted, grabbing second place. However, a drop in race pace caused by tyre degradation forced Câmara to lift his foot in the final laps. Câmara crossed the finish line sixth, right ahead of his teammate Charlie Wurz.

Starting from tenth on the grid, the son of art was the protagonist of a fierce comeback. On his home circuit, the Austrian pulled off several overtaking moves to finish the Feature Race in seventh place. Noah Strømsted, who got off to a good start, spent several laps in the podium zone. The 17-year-old Dane then dropped to eighth place. At the end of a complicated weekend, Trident Motorsport maintains its lead in the Team standings with a six-point advantage over its closest rival. In the Drivers’ standings, just one point separates leader Rafael Câmara from his closest pursuer. The FIA Formula 3 Championship returns next weekend. The series will face the seventh round of the season at Silverstone, England.

Giacomo Ricci, Team Manager: “I am not satisfied with the outcome of today’s Feature Race. Câmara and Strømsted, after a competitive start, showed a clear drop in tyre performance towards the end of the race, losing several positions. Wurz, on the other hand, made a solid recovery. Eventually, we put all three of our cars in the points zone.”
