Trident makes its debut in the Regional Middle East and the UAE F4 series at Yas Marina

Trident Motorsport’s 2026 season will officially begin this weekend at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. For the first time, Maurizio Salvadori's team will compete in the Regional Middle East championship with the new Toyota-powered Tatuus GEN2 cars, to be entrusted to Kay Daryanani, Andrija Kostic, and Maximilian Popov.

After completing two days of testing, which proved crucial for learning and developing the new cars, Trident is now focusing on the racing weekend, which, in addition to free practice on Friday, includes two qualifying sessions on Saturday and a total of three races. The first will take place on Saturday, the second and third on Sunday.

Concurrent with the Regional Middle East, Trident will also make its official debut in Formula 4 single-seater racing at the Yas Marina circuit, taking part in the first round of the UAE4 Series. Luca Zerbini's team will field three cars for new entries Bernardo Bernoldi, Florentin Hattemer, and Dominik Simek.

Luboslav Ryukov and Augustus Toniolo will be "on the side" as they are under 15 and are therefore not eligible to participate in international races by regulation. The UAE4 Series features two qualifying sessions on Saturday and three races, the first on Saturday, the second and third on Sunday.
