Trident Motorsport announces Niccolò Maccagnani for the 2027 FIA F3 Championship

Trident Motorsport is pleased to announce the agreement reached with Niccolò Maccagnani, who will compete in the 2027 FIA Formula 3 Championship season with the headquartered in Milan and with its operational base in Ossona. The young Roman driver, born in 2010 and a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, is preparing to face a new and important challenge.

For Maccagnani, the move to F3 represents a significant step forward that culminates the steady growth initiated in the junior formulae. After gaining solid experience through an intense testing program, the Italian driver made his single-seater debut in 2025, beginning his career in Formula 4.

Born in Rome on August 28, 2010, Maccagnani competed in the first races of his career in the Formula 4 South East Asia series, taking six podiums, including three wins, in as many races. These results allowed him to finish the championship in fourth place despite only competing in the final two rounds. Subsequently, the Roman took part in the final rounds of the Italian Formula 4 and E4 championships. He then took on the Formula Trophy, a three-round series, finishing second overall.

2026 marked a further step in his sporting development and his entry into the Ferrari Driver Academy. After competing in the UAE4 Series, finishing fourth thanks to two wins and three podiums overall, Maccagnani competed in the Italian Formula 4 Championship and the E4 Championship. In the Italian series, the Roman driver scored victories at Misano and Mugello, demonstrating his ability to compete at the top of the category.

During the season, Maccagnani also had the opportunity to try his hand at the FIA Formula 3 Championship, taking part in the final round in Madrid. This was a valuable experience, allowing him to begin to understand the category in which he will now continue his career.

His arrival at Trident Motorsport will represent a new step in the young Italian's career, as he will be able to count on the experience and technical structure of a team that has consistently been a key player in the FIA Formula 3 Championship in recent years.
