Trident reaches the points in Budapest

Trident had a positive day at the Hungaroring circuit, just outside Budapest. In the fourth round of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, Maurizio Salvadori and his team achieved a points finish with Ruiqi Liu, who is delivering a remarkable progression in this part of the championship. The Chinese racer, making his series debut this year, scored the sixth fastest lap time in Group B in qualifying, which gave him P11 on the starting grid in race 1. Keeping a remarkable pace, Liu managed to finish in P9, bringing home a points finish. For him, it is the best result of the season.

Nicola Lacorte crossed the finish line in P13 after starting from P16, providing a clever drive in the tough middle part of the pack. The newest hire at Trident, Michael Belov, who replaces injured Roman Bilinski, started from P25 after a difficult qualifying. However, he made a sensational comeback which allowed him to rank 12th in Race 1.
