Trident ready to debut in the Italian F4 Championship at Misano

The long-awaited moment has arrived. Trident Motorsport is ready to debut in the Italian Formula 4 Championship, which kicks off this weekend at the Misano Adriatico circuit. This is a new challenge for Maurizio Salvadori's team, which had a prelude in the F4 Middle East, but not with all the drivers who will be present at the Italian series' premiere. Trident will therefore field five cars at the Romagna circuit, entrusted to very young drivers making their first experiences in the world of formula racing.

They are Bernardo Bernoldi, a 16-year-old Brazilian, son of a racing driver; Florentin Hattemer, a 15-year-old Swiss; Lyuboslav Ruykov, a 15-year-old Bulgarian; Dominik Simek, a 16-year-old Czech; and Augustus Toniolo, a 15-year-old Brazilian.

After a series of test sessions on Thursday, May 7th, the schedule includes two free practice sessions on Friday morning, with the drivers divided into two groups, Series 1 and Series 2, due to the high number of entrants. Two more free practice sessions will take place in the early afternoon on Friday, followed by qualifying sessions for Series 1 and Series 2 at 5:55 PM. Following these qualifying sessions, the drivers will be divided into three groups, A, B, and C, competing in three races.

On Saturday, the first race will start at 11:30 AM, pitting Group B drivers against Group C drivers, followed by the second race at 5:15 PM, pitting Group A drivers against Group B drivers. The third race will take place on Sunday, May 10th, at 8:30 AM, pitting Group A and Group C drivers. Finally, the top 36 from each of the three groups will advance to the Grand Final, which will be held at 1:50 PM on Sunday.
