Trident scores points again at Barcelona

Trident secured its fifth consecutive points finish in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine at the Montmelò circuit, located on the outskirts of Barcelona.

On the penultimate round of the season, Roman Bilinski achieved the sixth fastest lap time in Group A of Qualifying 1, while Ruiqi Liu and Nicola Lacorte were ninth and tenth in their respective groups.

Starting from 12th on the grid, Bilinski managed to work his way up to ninth place. Despite an excellent race pace, which allowed him to pressure Alessandro Giusti for P8 in the final stages, Bilinski was unable to find a gap on the tortuous Catalan circuit.

The English driver of Polish origins still achieved Trident's fifth consecutive top-10 finish, confirming the good form already shown in Imola and Spielberg. A good recovery by Lacorte saw the Italian cross the line in P16, followed in P18 by Ruiqi Liu.
