Trident scores points with Hattemer in the E4 series at Paul Ricard
This marked the second round of the E4 Championship "mini-series" for Team Trident. Just as at the season opener in Vallelunga, the team fielded Bernardo "Beco" Bernoldi, Florentin Hattemer, Augustus Toniolo, Dominik Šimek, and Lyuboslav Ruykov at Le Castellet.
Among the five, it was the Swiss driver Hattemer who delivered the most impressive performance and results, both in qualifying and across the three races. Saturday’s opening race proved the most challenging, with the team's drivers finishing no higher than 18th place. Races 2 and 3, held on Sunday, saw Hattemer finish 10th and 15th, thereby securing points. Overall, Bernoldi was the unluckiest, forced to retire from the third race; Ruykov was less competitive, while Toniolo and Šimek came close to the top 15.
In a week's time, the focus shifts back to the Italian Formula 4 Championship at Mugello. The final round of the E4 series is scheduled for the weekend of October 11th at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza.
