Trident takes P6 with Richard Verschoor

Trident Motorsport secured a points finish in the FIA Formula 2 Championship Feature Race at Albert Park in Melbourne with Richard Verschoor. The Dutchman capped the long journey to the State of Victoria with a sixth place. The 23-three-year-old had scored third in Qualifying with a convincing level of performance.
Verschoor started the Feature Race with option tyres before switching to Primes in the second part but lost time in the pit lane in a stop carried out when the race was in a safety car situation. He eventually rebounded to sixth at the end.
On the other hand, Roman Staněk had his race ruined by a rear-end collision in the very early stages, that sent the Czech driver into the escape gravel. Staněk, who won of the Sprint Race held on Saturday, started from P10 on the grid and finished in P16. Trident Motorsport totaled a remarkable 18 points, its best aggregate result of the season. Now the series will enter a long break. The next event is scheduled from May 17th to 19th at Imola.
Giacomo Ricci, Team Manager, Feature Race Quote: “We are quite satisfied with the level of performance shown by our cars this weekend. We achieved a win with Staněk in the Sprint Race and sixth place in the Feature Race with Verschoor. Both drivers interpreted the difficult Australian track well and showed important signs of growth, which makes the technical staff confident in preparing for the next round at Imola."
