Trident takes top-10 finish at Hockenheim in opening Regional by Alpine race

The 2024 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine kicked off from the Hockenheim in Germany and Trident was immediately among the leading contenders, collecting the first points of the season in race 1. At the end of a powerful comeback from the 17th position at the start, Roman Bilinski took P9. It was a great performance for him to bounce back from a complicated qualifying 1 where he was ninth in Group A and 17th on the starting grid. 

Nicola Lacorte, who was making his debut in the category, scored the tenth-fastest lap of Group B and started from the 10th row on the grid. Having fought his way back up to 14th place halfway through the race, he lost a few positions because two drivers that made a contact with him. He finished 18th, just behind teammate Ruiqi Liu. The Chinese, also making his debut in the series, set the 12th fastest lap time in Group B qualifying, starting from 24th place. Liu fared well in the initial stages of the race, progressively climbing up to P17.
