Trident wrapped up the 2023 with more remarkable results in Germany

Trident wrapped up the 2023 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine with more remarkable results in Germany. Lining up at Hockenheim, the team, led by Maurizio Salvadori, achieved a positive top-5 in race 2, placing one more car in the points.

Thanks to an excellent start from P7 on the grid, Owen Tangavelou quickly gained P5 on the first lap and fought until the last meters to improve his result.

Nikhil Bohra also had a good start and stayed close to teammate Tangavelou for the rest of the race. He was able to end up with a valuable top 10.

Roman Bilinski was also in contention for a place in the points, but a closing battle prevented the Pole from reaching his goal. Trident sealed off the season with a total of 120 points and a third place as its best result.

Owen Tangavelou: “The first lap was OK, I made a great start. Then, I kept the position for all races, managing the gap. I finished P14 in the championship. Thanks to Trident for the second half of the season, where we had a good car. I was happy to compete with such a very experienced team.”

Nikhil Bohra: “Overall, it was not a terrible weekend. Race 2 and my start were better, I made better choices in the first laps. We ended the season on a pretty decent note, and I am happy to have recovered from very bad Thursday and Friday. Luckily we put everything together and secured decent results. Thanks to the team, especially in the second half of the season, where we fought at the front very competitively. Now let’s focus on next year.”

Roman Bilinski: “The last race of the season is done! Tricky race, but I think we made an improvement, I think we could have finished inside the top 10, in front of people who were fast all season. Thank you very much for Trident for all year and for a lot of effort. Now I need to see what the future brings for me and what will happen in my career."
