TRIDENT WRAPS UP FINAL FORMULA REGIONAL BY ALPINE PRESEASON TEST

Trident showed very positive signs in preseason testing for the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine at Monza, which will lead to the start of the season in two weeks at Imola.

The intense two-day test saw the team face a competitive field featuring more than 30 cars. The Italian squad, lining up for its second full season, put up an excellent progression and collected valuable data ahead of the upcoming opener.

As happened in the previous tests at Barcelona and Le Castellet, Trident fielded three cars entrusted to Roman Bilinksi, Owen Tangavelou and Nikhil Bohra. All three logged many laps and further refined their performance.

Bilinksi was consistently among the fastest drivers on track: on Wednesday, the Pole finished eighth and sixth in sessions 3 and 4 respectively, setting a time of 1m46.571 that confirmed him in the top-10 overall.

Encouraging signs came from Tangavelou, the second-fastest Trident stalwart, who posted a personal best lap of 1m46.789. Bohra continued to grow in terms of performance and lowered his personal best mark session after session down to 1m46.856.

As anticipated, Trident will head to Imola next week (April 21-23) to tackle the first engagement of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine.

Roman Bilinksi:

“We finished the official testing for the start of the season, so now the next time in the car will be for Round 1 in Imola. I'm very delighted as they were two positive days. I think there is a lot that we can learn from and a lot that already looks very good. I am excited about the season, and I’m pushing hard. Let's see what we can do.

Owen Tangavelou:

"It was a very productive couple of days, we worked in different areas looking forward to the whole championship, not just Monza. The pace looks promising, but it is a tight field, so it will depend on the performance of every day, and on every race. We feel confident that we can deliver good results. These two days with the team produced great confidence."

Nikhil Bohra:

“I feel these two days were very productive, and they are the final ones before the championship starts. I think we are going into the season with a clear and well-sorted plan, and I’m really excited. It is my first year in FRECA, so I’m looking forward to the first race. I don’t have a goal in numbers, I just want to go into the race as well as I can and as prepared as I can, and every race just to improve, so to be better than the previous one.”
